NORVA SLING
From November 2, 2017 to January 7, 2018, Museum Beelden museum shows the first museum solo exhibition of Norva Sling. The exhibition is titled Norva Sling. Shapes of love. Norva Sling was born on November 12, 1947, under the constellation Scorpio on Curaçao. The artist is autodidact and her career as a ceramic sculptor began in 1972. Norva Sling lives alternately on Curaçao and in the Netherlands. She writes her work and mind together in the striking words: "As an artist, I am inspired by nature, her cycle of birth and death. I like to work with curves, smoothly spun spheres and hollow shapes, kneaded with cool damp clay . "
Atelier Argos was responsible for the design of the book in close collaboration with the authors Felix de Rooy, Jennifer Smit and Otto B. Linker & Maria Linker-Nagel.

NORVA SLING
Van 2 november 2017 tot 7 januari 2018 toont museum Beelden aan Zee de eerste museumsolotentoonstelling van Norva Sling. De tentoonstelling heeft de titel Norva Sling. Vormen van liefde. Norva Sling werd geboren op 12 november 1947, onder het sterrenbeeld Schorpioen op Curaçao. De kunstenaar is autodidact en haar carrière als keramische beeldhouwer begon in 1972. Norva Sling woont afwisselend op Curaçao en in Nederland. Zelf vat ze haar werk en geest samen in de treffende woorden: "Als een kunstenaar ben ik vooral geïnspireerd door de natuur, haar cyclus van geboorte en dood. Ik werk graag met rondingen, soepel gespannen bol en holle vormen, gekneed met koele vochtige klei . "
